Tee For Microbore Hose - Branch off in two directions
- Take your microbore in 2 directions
- Useful when you have a group of pots
- Suitable for expanding the Dripmaster system
The 4mm tee-piece is useful for minimising the number of pipes needed when watering densely packed pots or baskets.
A single line of microbore hose can be taken off the main supply hose and run to the first pot or basket. This may then be cut where appropriate and a tee-piece inserted. A second line of microbore pipe may then be used to run to a second basket or pot straight from the tee-piece. This arrangement uses less hose and can be more discrete.
Because of the limited size of the microbore hose, there is obviously a limit to the number of jets that can be run from a single line attached to the main supply hose and tee-pieced off to the jets. This varies with water pressure and the overall number of jets on the system but a rough guide is to have no more than 3 jets running off microbore that has only one connection back to the main supply hose.
For example, if you watering 6 pots close together, it would be preferable to run two or three lines of microbore from the main supply hose and use tee-pieces to take three jets off each, rather than run all 6 off a single connection.
