The hose is the same size as ordinary garden hose but is more rigid to keep it water tight when jets are inserted. However, this means that elbows should be used on sharp corners to avoid kinking the pipe. To secure the hose to a wooden surface use standard pipe clips and to secure it to brickwork use pipe clips with masonry nails.
Jets can either be inserted directly into this supply hose or alternatively a connection can be made down to the 4mm microbore pipe and jets can be inserted into the end of this smaller pipe. To insert jets into the main supply hose, use a key/punch to make a hole in the pipe where you want a jet to go, then supply screw the jet into place. This method is suitable for most jets but recommended mainly in the greenhouse, where 90° spray jets and mist jets can be placed directly into the supply pipe where needed to water both sides of the greenhouse.
