Inline Tap For Supply Hose - Extra Control
- Increases the control of your system
- Isolate one zone of watering jets
- Controls the flow to jets
An in-line tap adds flexibility to your system in a number of ways. Firstly, it allows you to control the flow of jets in a particular area of your irrigation system which are not independently adjustable. This is particularly useful if you have a line of 90° spray jets located in a greenhouse and wish to control their watering independently to the rest of your irrigation system.
Secondly, the tap may be used to isolate and switch off an entire area of your irrigation system that may not require continual use. For example, a misting line in the greenhouse may only required at certain times and so to avoid unnecessary misting an in-line tap may be used to block off the misting line temporarily.
Thirdly, on irrigation systems watering large or numerous areas, it may be the case that there is insufficient pressure to serve the entire system effectively. In this case, one solution is to use a pair of in-line taps so that individual areas can be watered independently, thereby allowing pressure to be directed to one area of the system so that watering is effective. By switching one zone off and another zone on as necessary, the entire area can be watered.
