 The Watermate watering system is as easy to install as any of our watering systems. Simply drop the suction hose into the water butt from the pump and then connect the pump outlet to your irrigation supply hose as you would with any other watering system. The pump plugs into the mains electric timer (included) which in turn plugs into a standard electric socket. ( See diagram ).

• Ensure there is water available to the pump at all times. A simple way to ensure this is to fit a float switch that cuts off the pump if water is not available. Joining water butts together (see Rainwater Collection ) allows you to increase your storage capacity.
   
• The pump must be drained-down or otherwise protected during periods of frost.
   
• Filter your water to ensure it does not create any obstructions (see garden pumps and filters).
