Irrigation that’s
Simple and Inexpensive... |
| |
Mastermind Products recognize that most people just want to
take the hassle out of watering their garden, hanging baskets or
greenhouse. That’s why we’ve developed a economic, easy-to-use
and efficient system that makes sure your irrigation system
fulfils your needs.
However, we also recognize that everyone’s garden is different.
Therefore, our irrigation systems are flexible and fully
customisable. This means that you can design your own
layout of pipework to suit your garden and use the ideal jets to
most effectively water your plants. We do this by supplying
you with the exact amount of equipment tailored to your needs.
Installation is then simply a case of connecting up the pipework
and inserting the jets. See for yourself how easy it is to install
our systems. The three simple steps below show you how to
setup even the largest system. |
| |
Step 1 - Connecting
the system to your water source |
| |
 |
If you are using mains water, simply attach a
tap connector or optional timer directly to a mains tap.
Alternatively, if you are using rainwater from a water butt,
utilise the suction hose from the water butt to the inlet of
the Watermate pump. |
 |
| |
Step 2 - Laying out
your supply hose |
| |
The 13mm hose should be laid out around the
garden or greenhouse (using clips if desired) Taking the water
into the area to be watered. With a little
imagination it’s easy to make the hose discrete, for example by
covering it in forest bark or running it under the eaves of your
house. |
 |
Because the hose is rigid it is necessary to
use elbows on tight corners or tees to water in two directions. Simply cut the main hose and
dip in hot water for easy push-fitting. When you’ve finished
your run of hose, just push an end-stop in the end. Tip - you can
flush the hose by turning on the tap before fitting the end stop.
This will remove any dirt picked up during installation. |
| |
Step 3 -
Inserting the
Jets |
| |
 |
We offer various jets for different watering
needs. To insert any jet, first simply use the key/punch
included in our kits to punch a hole in the main supply hose |
|
| |
Some jets can be inserted straight into this
hole in the supply hose, as shown opposite. Alternatively,
insert a 4mm microbore connector to attach a length of 4mm microbore
hose which can then be connected to a hanging basket/pots jet or a
higher stake to lift your jets above your plants. |
 |
|
| |
 |
If using 4mm microbore hose simply cut to
length and attach to the required stakes and hanging basket/pots
jets. A variety of stakes are available
to alter the height from which you water your borders and
vegetables. |
